At Banyan School, our priority is to provide the most nurturing, creative environment where each student can learn, feel confident and be prepared to meet new academic and social challenges. Our highly successful, individualized program is supported by tuition and donations made by parents, alumni, foundations and corporations, as well as through fundraising efforts like our Annual Golf Classic.

Monetary donation or volunteerism – plays a vital role in enriching Banyan’s efforts to provide a superior education to children with special needs.

Tree of Dreams

Dedicate a Leaf to a Child…and Support Banyan School!

The Tree of Dreams is a permanent work of art located in the main hallway of Banyan Elementary School.

It provides an opportunity for parents, guardians, grandparents, family members, friends and loved ones to recognize a Banyan School student or to support Banyan’s mission to provide the best education for students who learn differently.

Funds raised through the Tree of Dreams will be used to support the Christopher David Scholarship, which was established to recognize two students who inspired the creation of Banyan School.

We accept donations through PayPal via debit card, credit card, or direct deposit. Your donation of any amount enables us to continue to provide the best education for students who learn differently.

Matching Gifts and Grants
Many employers will match an employee’s donation to a Banyan School. Matching gifts can sometimes double or triple an employee’s gift. Some employers also offer their employees the opportunity to apply for a company grant for a charity of his or her choice. Please ask your employer if such opportunities exist in your company.

Gifts In Kind
Non-monetary gifts are another important way to donate: whether it’s a service, something that enhances the school and/or academic programs or items that can be used as part of a special event fundraiser.

Special Events

Our two most popular special events are our annual Fashion Show and Golf Classic. The Fashion Show takes place early spring and the Golf Classic happens at the end of September. Both are fun ways to bring the Banyan community together and raise funds for a very important cause…our Banyan students!

The Annual Fashion Show spotlights our students as they walk the runway in the latest spring fashions. Family and friends come to cheer on the models at this fun and heartwarming event. The evening also features an auction and musical performances by Banyan students. The most recent and twelveth annual Spring Fling Fashion Show and Auction was a great success and we would like to thank our sponsors and donors for their support. Please support the many donors of Banyan School who have so generously supported us.

You’ll give Banyan School a nice present when you shop Amazon Smile!

When you do your on-line shopping at, Banyan School will receive a donation worth .5% of your total eligible purchases! That adds up pretty quickly. To participate, it won’t cost you anything extra…it’s simply a donation from Amazon. Now that’s something worth smiling about!

Amazon Smile is the same, great Amazon that you know: same products, same prices, same service. Now when you purchase an item marked “Eligible for Amazon Smile” Banyan School profits.

Thank You for Supporting Banyan School!

    The Annual Golf Classic

The Annual Golf Classic is a wonderful day of golf including brunch/lunch, cocktails, buffet dinner, tournament games, contests, prizes and a variety of auctions. It is sponsored by corporations and friends of Banyan and is the cornerstone of our fundraising efforts. This year marked the 20th annual golf classic outing which was dedicated to the memory of Peter Layne. We also celebrated the great milestone of our school celebrating its 25th year! The Golf Classic was a great success, we would like to thank our sponsors and supporters.
